So nice we sold it twice.  

Way way back in 2012 (ancient history, right?) this house was the winner for my buyer-clients after a long search for the ideal first home. Located in Baltimore's Mount Washington neighborhood, this 1959 split-level single family home on Stuart Ave was a diamond in the rough. At that time it was an estate sale and it incurred 242 days on market before we sealed the deal.

A few years later and opportunity came knocking in the form of an out-of-state job transfer. Would we resell this house? Its always good to have the opportunity to resell a home that you found after a long search, if we liked it better than most chances were the new owners might feel the same way.

And that was certainly the case, after 13 days on market we securred a contract.  Stuart Ave is in the 21215 zipcode, this is the bohemian side of Mount Washington. If you are a buyer looking for real estate data in Mount Washington, be sure to search in both the 21209 and 21215 zipcode. Also, be sure to search for "Mount Washington and Mt. Washington" as you'll find both spellings are used by real estate professionals.

This is the 1959 version of the "great room", a modern space that proved to be a great place to entertain.

The kitchen was partially updated for the 2012 purchase, and further improved for the 2015 sale. 

The custom cabinets make all the difference. They're blond wood with a rosey hue, quite unusual.

That goes to show, you never know how long you'll own a house. In case opportunity comes knocking, did you get the right deal when you purchased? Are you hiring the right agent to sell?

Otherwise you may have been better off renting.....

At the December 2015 settlement, I enjoyed telling the new owners about all the great flowers that would be blooming in the yard by the next Spring, especially the large blue hydrangeas.
