The Baltimore Maryland Agent: The Best Sushi in Baltimore is in Mt. Washington

The Best Sushi in Baltimore is in Mt. Washington

Baltimore’s Mt. Washington neighborhood is home to many foodies, and it seems no coincidence to this writer that is also home to the very best Japanese restaurant in Baltimore, Sushi Hana. Feast your eyes on this crunchy tuna roll; it's both beautiful and delicious!

Sushi Hana has two locations in Baltimore, these pictures were taken at 6080 Falls Rd in Mt. Washington. Here is a link to their website:

On any given night you'll find a local Baltimore celebrity dining at this hot spot, its common practice to slowly look around the room and see who turned up to dine. I like to go here for lunch with my mother and my best friend. Take a look at these outrageous sweet shrimp we ordered, my Mom ate the fried shrimp heads. I learned from Duff Goldman of Charm City Cakes (Mr. Ace of Cakes that is) that the "head is where all the flavor is". Maybe so, but I have not yet crossed that threshold.

The list of designer sushi rolls is impressive. They even have a few that come to the table lit ablaze. For me I could close my eyes and point, my husband prefers to design his from scratch - almost always adding jalapenos to the roll for extra punch.

I've got Mt. Washington on my mind because I've got some great new Mt. Washington listings due to hit the market in the next month or two. One property in particular was last on the market over 47 years ago.

I hope the universe brings me many more Mt. Washington clients and many more opportunities to dine at Sushi Hana. If I could get away with it, I'd conduct my settlements in their private dining rooms...

Your mother and Duff are right, the flavor is in the heads, but it takes and act of faith to eat them the first time!
