Today was a great day at Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage Roland Park office at Cross Keys, we had our Thanksgiving lunch and I was so touched by the event I just had to share!
It turns out I am sharing an office with some top-notch cooks. We had all of the traditional dishes along with a nice selection of unexpected treats. From hot apple cider to pecan pie, it’s a wonder anyone was able to go back to work!
The office was decorated with care; conference tables became dining tables, complete with floral centerpieces. My contribution was spicy potato samosas with cilantro dip and sweet and sour fruit dip. The sign up sheet indicated we should “bring foods that celebrate our heritage”. I’m not Indian, but ever since a friend of mine brought samosas to my Thanksgiving feast in college, I’ve been making them each year. I don’t have a picture to show you, we ate every one.
Karin Batterton made my favorite dish; it was a hot cranberry cobbler with an oatmeal topping. This dish made me re-think cranberry sides altogether. Usually cranberry sauce is cold, and often it is jellied or sharp like a relish. Folks, consider a hot cranberry cobbler to go with your turkey, we all loved it.
Speaking of turkey, as you can see from this picture we really put it away! Lots of hot coffee was brewed to try to counter-act the effects of the big feast.
Before we did any of the feasting we took a moment to share what we were thankful for. It was so nice to hear how many people were thankful for each other and for surviving what has been a challenging year in real estate.
My license with Coldwell Banker’s Roland Park office is a second license for me in addition to my license with Tranzon Fox, a real estate auction company based in the Mid-Atlantic.
I’ve been a member of this office since the summer and after a few months I can confidently say it is a fantastic place that cares about creating goodwill in the world. I can’t wait to see what these people do for Christmas!
Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours,
Broker / Owner Guerilla Realty and
Vice President Tranzon Fox Auctions
